Rules around virtual account limits and total virtual account value limits

Updated over a week ago

Overview

  • Members of The Funded Trader are able to have a maximum of simulated Funds $1.2M in active challenge accounts and a maximum of $600k in active simulated funding accounts.

  • For clarification, these maximum limits mean that you are only able to trade up to $600k in active simulated funded accounts at any given time. However, you are welcome to have up to an additional simulated Funds $1.2M in challenge accounts (Phase-1, Phase-2, Phase-3, and one Phase Knight Challenge) in addition to the $600k max in active simulated funding accounts.

Maximum Simulated Account Limits

  • Standard, Rapid, Royal, Knight and Dragon accounts: the maximum total funded allocation is capped at $600,000. This means customers can hold any combination of these account types, but the total simulated funds across all these accounts cannot exceed $600,000.

Please Note:

  • The combined total of all funded accounts, whether they are from the Dragon Challenge or from the Standard, Rapid, Royal, or Knight categories, must not exceed $600,000. Acquiring Funded accounts over that limit will be placed on hold until previous Funded accounts are breached.

  • If a customer passes a challenge with a $600k Dragon account but have another Funded account active, they need to request to disable it in order to receive the $600k Funded account.

Examples:

  • Example 1: If a customer has $100,000 in active Dragon Funded accounts, they are permitted to have up to $500,000 in additional active Standard, Rapid, Royal, Dragon or Knight Funded accounts. This maintains the total funded allocation under the $600,000 limit.

  • Example 2: If a customer has $250,000 in active Standard, Rapid, Royal, or Knight Funded accounts, they are eligible to hold up to $350,000 in active Dragon Funded accounts. This maintains the total funded allocation under the $600,000 limit.

  • Example 3: If a customer has overall $600,000 in active Funded accounts, any new Funded account they acquire will be kept on hold. This hold remains in effect until an existing funded account is breached, potentially freeing up allocation space under the $600,000 cap.

What Types of Simulated Accounts Are Included in These Maximum Limits?

The combined amount across all Standard, Rapid, Royal, Knight and Dragon Challenge accounts is $1.2M in challenge funds. You can have up to $600k in active funded accounts.
